Agile Project Management (APM)

APM Basics

The Agile project management (APM) framework is an iterative and cohesive method of effective project management throughout the project's entire lifecycle. Within the scope of the project, it successfully integrates traditional aspects of project management with modern requirements. Rather than concentrating solely on the development of the final product within the constraints imposed, the APM framework focuses on delivering both quality and value under the same conditions. Quality control is built into the entire process, and teams review the quality of their completed project milestones after each cycle.

You Should Definitely Consider APM and here's why:

The Agile project management framework provides users with numerous advantages in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. The most significant advantage it provides to agile project management is the ability to quickly change the project's direction in order to meet changing project demands. There are simply too many processes in traditional project management methodology, and incorporating changes is difficult. Agile project management principles give team members complete freedom and prioritize customer demands over other factors.

APM’S Five Phases:

  • Envision:  A product is conceptualised during this phase, and all project stakeholders are identified.
  • Speculate: It is concerned with developing a list of the final product's features and how the team will work to achieve them.
  • Explore: This phase runs concurrently with the Adapt phase because teams may need to change their plan and execution style if a customer requests it or if feedback is not as expected.
  • Adapt: This is possibly the most distinct phase of this framework. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances enables the team to be ready for whatever is thrown at them.
  • Close: This is the final phase.Teams ensure that the project gets completed in an orderly manner without any hitch
